General Guidelines
The suite administrator is responsible for all communications to suite guests and co-owners. This person will be contacted regularly by the Sodexo suite manager regarding special events, menus, and timely payment of invoices.
Placing Orders
Sodexo is proud to offer fine catering services at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. All of our menu selections require fresh products and extensive preparation. Advance ordering is necessary to acheive the best service, presentation, and quality for all guests. In order to guarantee our service, orders must be placed according to the following schedule:

All orders should be placed by fax to (614) 688-5326, on the internet at www.performancegourmet.com/ohiostate or by email to hoedtl@buckeyes.ath.ohio-state.edu. Any order received after the order deadline cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to an 18% administrative fee. Standard orders may be established by sending in an order form with your selections. We will deliver the same items to your suite for every men's basketball game, hockey game, or every event held at The Schottenstein Center. Simply write the events at that top of your order form.
Event Day Items
Should circumstances prohibit placement of your order according to the previous deadlines, there is a limited selection of menu items available to you. These event day items were selected because they can be prepared and served to you during the event. Event day items in this menu are marked with a *. In the suite, you will find a menu with these items. To order during the event, please speak with your suite attendant. All items ordered on an event day or during the event will be subject to an 18% administrative fee.
Any food or beverage ordered during an event, by anyone other than the event's designated host, or the suite administrator, will require payment by credit card or cash.
Par Stock
As a convenience, you may wish to maintain a minimum amount of beverages in your suite refrigerator. Once your par levels are set, they will be replenished before every event. To set a par stock level, fax the beverage order form and indicate that it is a par to (614) 688-5326. The suite administrator may make changes at any time by simply faxing a new or revised form.
Cancellations
You may cancel your suite food and beverage orders without charge by contacting the Sodexo suite manager at least 24 hours before the arena doors open for the event.
Orders cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to full charges. Special orders cannot be cancelled without charge.
Delivery
Food and beverage orders are delivered to your suite just before the arena opens and will be available when you arrive.
A trained suite attendant will service your suite. This attendant can ensure your food order is complete and assist with any event day orders or special requests. Should you require a dedicated server who will assist only your suite, one may be requested. We do require a minimum of seven days notice and cannot guarantee a particular server. The cost of a dedicated server is $80 per event.
Alcoholic Beverage Service
In accordance with Ohio Law, Sodexo, Inc. is the only licensed permit holder authorized to possess, sell, deliver, or serve beer or wine at The Jerome Schottenstein Center. Alcoholic beverages may only be obtained from Sodexo, Inc. and may not be brought in or removed from the arena. Any items found on the premises not supplied by Sodexo, Inc. will be confiscated and destroyed. At this time, spirituous liquors are not permitted in the luxury suites at The Jerome Schottenstein Center.
Alcohol beverage services will end during the second half with 10 minutes left for Ohio State basketball games, and by the beginning of the second intermission of Ohio State hockey games. Alcohol service guidelines for special events will be determined on an event by event basis, by The Ohio State University.
It is the responsibility of the suite holder to ensure that no minors or intoxicated persons consume alcoholic beverages in their suite. Sodexo and The Ohio State University reserve the right to check for proper identification and refuse or terminate service at any time.
From time to time the Jerome Schottenstein Center plays host to events where consumption of alcoholic beverage is prohibited. During these events all suite guests must conform to this policy. For example, no alcoholic beverage service is available for any Ohio High School Athletic Association tournaments.
Billing
All suite services are subject to sales tax. Items ordered during events or after the advance order deadline are subject to an 18% administrative fee. Payment options include cash, credit card, procurement cards, or direct bill to the Suite Administrator.
Credit cards accepted include: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, procurement cards, and Diners Club. Credit card receipts will be emailed or faxed to suite holders by request only.
Direct billing is available only to the designated suite administrator and must be pre-approved by Sodexo, Inc. Suites using direct billing as a payment option will receive weekly invoices by mail. All direct bill payments are due within thirty days. Charges outstanding over thirty days will be subject to finance charges as outlined on the invoices. Invoices that become delinquent will have services suspended until the account is current. Suite holders will be held responsible for all food and beverage charges incurred in their suites.
Sodexo, Inc. reserves the right to service all food and beverage needs at The Jerome Schottenstein Center. Any items found on the premises not supplied by Sodexo, Inc. are subject to confiscation. Should special circumstances arise, please contact the Sodexo suite manager at (614) 688-5325 at least 2 business days prior to the event.
